I got 10 runs. 10! Fastest run was a 60.08 or something like that. I WOULD have broken the sixty second mark, twice, if I hadn't hit a cone on both runs, at 59.092 and 59.643. It wasn't even like I was coming into a corner too fast, I just came too close to the cones in the slalom, you can't win them all I suppose.
Also, as I got there, Racescort666 was there. We both ended up driving each others cars for one run each. I drove his Audi, and it had a bunch more grip than my car, plus it felt much faster in the straights. Although, there was a "bit" of body roll, overall though a ton of fun to drive, very different to the FRS. Only wish it was a bit louder!
Also, free food!

It was a much more laid back event. Only 85 drivers or something, the Chicago region usually runs 150!!

I guess people in upstate NY just don't like fun.

That makes absolutely no sense! This is what upstate NY likes:

Out of the hundreds of cars in the pictures, can you pick out 3 cars that aren't from America?

You want to know something even crazier! There are 165 slots open for autocrossing, and it usually fill up 2 or 3 days before registration closes. The Indy region had 180 at a recent event. I think the mid-west is big on racing and not looking at cars. I know of very few car shows here.

Goddammit that pisses me off. Most of the Northeast seems to be all show and no go. Very few actual enthusiasts.

Now to be fair, Chicago is pretty heavily populated and the Indy region is big city as well. How populated is the norther NY?

Yeah it isn't as bad as say Nevada. I would say around 100 people per autocross should be a good amount. Also, was it not raining today? I went to an Indy event when it was raining(the only event I have ever won) and there was maybe 30 people there.

That's a good point, it was supposed to rain, but only started to drizzle near the end of the event.
